The New York-based crew of Come Chat Wid Mi were in Jamaica last week where they interviewed David Morrison, the Senior Blender of Appleton Estate, who spoke about the blending of their various estate rums and Appleton Estate’s objective to be the number one rum brand in the global marketplace. David’s informative interview was filmed at the very stylish Appleton Estate Bar and Lounge in New Kingston, then Randeen, Appleton Estate’s Mixologist, gave instructions on how to mix two of Appleton Estate’s favourite cocktails, ‘Stormy Valley’ & ‘The Epic’.

Come Chat Wid Mi, during their 5 day visit, did an in-depth look at the crime and the ‘State of Emergency’ and interviewed respected private sector leaders such as John Mahfood, CEO of Jamaican Teas, Howard Mitchell, President of the PSOJ, Kevin O’Brien Chang, noted Journalist and Marketing Director of Fontana Pharmacy, Public Sector spokespersons Delroy Chuck, Minister of Justice, Trevor Munroe, Executive Director of NIA and Jeanne Barnes, head of the Legal Aid Clinic.

To make certain the crew was busy throughout their visit, Come Chat Wid Mi did a hilarious ½ hour interview with Ity & Fancy Cat, Jamaica’s #1 comedy team at the Liguanea Club. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Ity & Fancy Cat airing on CIN Ch. 73 in New York and a huge promotion is planned to mark this milestone.

And finally, Come Chat Wid Mi visited the most wicked city in the world, Port Royal, to taste Gloria’s famous fried fish and bammy. Their interview with the owner, Tanya, and filming of fried fish and bammy being prepared will air in their special segment ‘Ina d Kitchen’.
